Amanda Walker

Amanda has over 23 years’ experience in the GIS, survey, drafting, cartography, research and quality management industries within local government, state government and the tertiary education sector.

Amanda commenced her career at Melbourne Water, managing a variety of GIS asset data capture projects and maintaining asset data quality. From there, Amanda branched out into a strategic research role at Melbourne City Council where she managed a variety of research projects and undertook extensive data collection, database maintenance, analysis, cartographic map production, reporting, process improvement and consultancy.

Amanda then provided services to Wodonga Institute of TAFE where she managed, maintained and improved the Institute's Quality Management System - document control system to ensure currency, accuracy and serviceability.

From there, Amanda moved into a GIS coordination role at North East Water developing the GIS team’s work plan aligned to the Corporations strategic priorities; managing, maintaining and continuously improving the Corporation's GIS and supporting the integration of the GIS with other corporate business and state government emergency management systems.

Amanda was then employed at WaterNSW where she led a multi-disciplined technical team to provide geospatial technology and services that comply with appropriate standards, codes and legislation, and promotes excellence in safety. She was also responsible for driving the integration of geospatial technologies to effectively acquire, manipulate, store and analyse geospatial information for dam safety purposes.

In addition, as Principal at Walker Geospatial, Amanda provides consultancy services relating to spatial data analysis, cartography, data capture, data validation and reporting for all sectors of industry.

During her career, Amanda has developed an understanding of the range of issues impacting on urban and asset planning, natural resource management, emergency management preparedness, economic development and education.

Todd Walker

Principal Consultant

Todd has over 25 years experience in the cartography, GIS and corporate real estate industries, within local and state government, tertiary education and the private sector.

Starting out as a team member working on an educational interactive mapping CD Rom for the Department of Geospatial Science, RMIT University, Todd then transferred to post-graduate studies at RMIT University focusing on multimedia / interactive mapping.

From there, Todd branched out into GIS based corporate sales and business analysis, and transitioned further into corporate real estate investment management.

Now, Todd focuses solely on providing consultancy services relating to cartography, GIS, spatial data analysis and reporting, and interactive / multimedia mapping for all sectors of industry.

Over the years, Todd's skills have been honed across a variety of disciplines to ensure you receive not only the highest level of quality and attention to detail for your projects, but you also receive the benefits of a very acute appreciation for ALL factors that will, or may, influence the quality of your desired outcomes.
